Job Description

Facilities & Maintenance Technician / Engineer

Our client a leading infrastructure services company is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join their highperforming facilities management team. The role is based in Dublin and is essential to supporting the ongoing operation maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure within a telecoms or data centre environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate monitor and maintain critical building systems including electrical and mechanical infrastructure

  • Participate in a 24/7/365 oncall rota shared across the engineering team

  • Execute planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC electrical plumbing and general building services

  • Conduct inspections and ensure all systems and plant rooms meet safety and operational standards

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and system anomalies

  • Monitor and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) or Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Assist in supervising subcontractors during upgrades and shutdowns

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to energy efficiency system reliability and workplace safety

  • Ensure compliance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum: QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft Electrical

  • Demonstrated experience with data centre or critical environment infrastructure

  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC UPS generators chillers pumps and electrical distribution systems

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex building systems

  • Strong communication skills and a safetyfirst approach

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in regulated environments (such as GMP cleanrooms or healthcare settings)

  • Certifications in plumbing refrigeration or additional technical trades

  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards such as OSHA or HSE

  • Knowledge of clean utilities or laboratory systems is a distinct advantage
