About the role:
Reporting to the Human Resources Superintendent the Senior Lead Training and Development (known at EVR as Administrator Training and Development) is responsible for coordination and management of training requirements across our Fording River Operations. Supervising and supporting the Mine Operations Maintenance and Processing training teams to ensure departmental training requirements are being met.
To be successful we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who loves to help others build skills and contribute to their success. Someone who is selfmotivated collaborates well with a team and can influence and develop compelling points to implement procedures. We require someone with strong attention to detail who is adaptable and able to prioritize contending demands.
In this role you will have the opportunity to guide the training team to deliver results. You are responsible for the overall success of the site training program as well as being a representative of the broader EVR training team in the development of minimum standards best practices and standardization of training results across all our sites.

In this role you will:

    • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
    • Direct training and development initiatives across the site to improve departmental performance
    • Apply consistent training principles to the site and evaluate training systems or methods to ensure effectiveness of the process
    • Build and deliver proficiency based training programs derived from safe work procedures and site training requirements including simulator classroom work and field work
    • Explore and implement innovative and efficient methods of employee instruction and coaching
    • Develop effective and accurate evaluation methods to assess employee safety and productivity
    • Work with departments to develop talent versatility and monitor the number of trained employees
    • Implementing new standardized training programs content and documentation

Requirements:

    • Minimum 10 years practical experience in an industrial environment
    • Minimum two years demonstrated ability administrating effective and consistent training to employees and new hires
    • Supervisor or leadership experience
    • Ability to clearly and concisely instruct all levels of adult learners
    • Strong digital literacy with strong writing revision and electronic presentation skills
    • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
$137000 $169000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
