About us


Randal Retail Group established in 1981 is a thirdgeneration familyowned business operated out of Batavia IL. Randal manufacturers and installs custom store fixtures signage and graphics. Our team designs and manufactures custom millwork seating and tables nationally and internationally. Randal Retail works with a number of retail foodservice health & fitness and franchise operations.


About the role


In this role you will partner with the retailers construction and design departments and offer a program that assists them from design through millwork installation to store opening; saving our clients time money and headaches. Our office/factory is in the Chicago suburbs. We operate as a team/family and everyone gets involved with projects to ensure were offering the best product and service as possible. You will set appointments with prospective customers all over the US using coldcalling networking LinkedIn referrals and tradeshows. Typical travel would be 34 nights per month but will vary during certain times of the year. This is a salary (competitive based on experience) plus commission position. You will be given ongoing sales training and support. All expenses are companypaid and there is a full benefit package.


Core Responsibilities/Requirements


  • Must have experience calling on national chains selling to construction and design teams
  • Must have 5 years calling at the VP/Director level
  • Demonstrate success with selling a valueadded program and not just lowest price
  • Be comfortable coldcalling asking tough questions and risking rejection
  • Know how to thoroughly qualify/disqualify prospective customers
  • Understand that not everybody is a fit for us as a customer
  • Have built a book of business from zero to $5million in annual sales
  • Implement weekly prospecting behaviors to build a robust pipeline
  • Drive sales forward through identifying prospects budgets and decision making processes
  • Show a history of setting and reaching/exceeding sales goals
  • Follow a systematic process to close business prior formal sales training is a plus


If you have experience selling construction materials/services (not consumer products or food) to national retail and restaurant chains your knowledge will transfer nicely to this industry and you should apply.
