StepStone Hospitality is seeking a passionate experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the team at the beautiful Crowne Plaza North Augusta nestled in Riverside Village. Located just steps from the scenic Savannah River and directly across from Downtown Augusta our hotel is minutes from the Convention Center Bell Auditorium and the James Brown Arena. Riverside Village is also home to the Augusta GreenJackets baseball team with a vibrant neighborhood atmosphere that includes local restaurants bars and our own rooftop bar with sunset views.

About the Role:


As General Manager youll be the strategic and operational leader of the hoteloverseeing daily operations driving business growth building strong team engagement and ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit train mentor and lead department heads and team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes high morale and productivity.
  • Uphold and model company and brand standards in appearance professionalism and behavior.
  • Ensure team alignment with StepStones mission vision and values

2. Operational Excellence

  • Manage all aspects of hotel operations including front office housekeeping food & beverage maintenance and sales.
  • Maintain high service standards and guest satisfaction with a focus on GSS/TripAdvisor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and operational policies.
  • Available to work a 5day week including nights weekends and holidays as needed.

3. Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets forecasts and financial KPIs.
  • Monitor revenue expenses and profitability taking corrective actions when needed.
  • Analyze performance data and implement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and revenue growth.

4. Sales & Marketing Oversight

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to optimize occupancy and revenue.
  • Build strong community relationships to increase local and group bookings.
  • Support innovative marketing strategies to elevate brand presence and market share.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all local state and federal regulations including health and safety standards.
  • Lead emergency preparedness risk management and property safety initiatives.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to protect property assets.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager in a branded hotel environment.
  • Experience with IHG or Marriott brands strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in guest satisfaction team leadership and financial performance.
  • Strong operational knowledge across all hotel departments.
  • Proven ability to engage and develop teams with a handson leadership style.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting forecasting and P&L management.
  • Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hospitality management systems and tools.
  • Bachelors degree in hospitality Business Administration or a related field preferred.
