Job Description

Our client a leading solutions provider in the Mechanical Plumbing Electrical Energy Automation and Service Maintenance fields is offering a rewarding opportunity for a Dispatcher role. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle client service calls and initiate jobs following all proper procedures.
  • Verify work orders for correct details before forwarding them for billing.
  • Schedule and dispatch technicians for maintenance and service calls.
  • Create job numbers and files for both emergency and scheduled work.
  • Order necessary materials for monthly maintenance.
  • Conduct research to determine whether a job is a warranty call or not.
  • Maintain job logs and file paperwork in collaboration with the Purchasing Agent.
  • Assist new technicians with employment policies and procedures related to dispatch.
  • Handle phone/radio overflow and cover for other dispatchers during lunch time and leave periods.
  • Take complaint calls and handle them appropriately or direct them to the Branch Manager.
  • Handle billing/invoice queries and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Notify sales department of major clients service calls when necessary.
  • Enter technicians time into system and complete service work order for Branch Managers review.
  • Maintain certified payroll report files for each job.
  • Engage in crosstraining opportunities as required to support coworkers and improve the business and customer experience.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable.
  • Previous experience in the HVAC industry is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
  • General computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are necessary.
