Position Overview:
This role will provide support by helping setup and maintain crawlers to scrape jobs from websites through the use of inhouse tools.
Responsibilities:
- Add maintain and repair crawlers to ensure consistent quantity and quality of jobs
- Monitor quality and the volume of jobs on live websites and make adjustment to crawler configurations
- Develop scripts in Ruby to improve quality and quantity of job listings
- Supporting with high velocity and flexibility our B2B clients in conjunction with our Sales team.
- Keen attention to detail and a willingness to persist with repetitive tasks.
- Recommend technology improvements and operationalize changes.
- Contribute to internal process and product optimization by analyzing sample datasets helping assess
- opportunities for crawling optimization.
- Supporting with high velocity and flexibility our B2B clients in conjunction with our Sales team.
- Keen attention to detail and a willingness to persist with repetitive tasks.
- Preparing and presenting basic technical reports analyses and documents with support of teams subject matter experts.
Technical Skills
- Proven working experience on web technology fundamentals including HTML CSS Javascript XPath regex.
- Databricks or similar data analytics platforms.
Proficiencies
- Solid understanding of web development concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with Ruby Python or similar programming languages (including commands functions and variable types)
- SQL skills are highly desirable for querying and managing data.
- Excel Pivot tables and charts Xlookups Vlookups and formulas
- Good time management skills
- Agile and efficient approach to managing tasks
- Ability to triage and prioritize tasks
