KS4 English Teacher Wandsworth September 2025 Start
A forwardthinking secondary school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a KS4 English Teacher from September 2025. This KS4 English Teacher role is ideal for someone with a passion for literature and language who thrives on helping pupils succeed at GCSE level. Whether youre an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT this KS4 English Teacher opportunity offers excellent support and longterm development.
As a KS4 English Teacher youll deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that prepare pupils for their English Language and Literature GCSEs. The KS4 English Teacher will work closely with the Head of English and a wellresourced department to plan lessons assess progress and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners. Youll also play an active role in supporting the schools commitment to literacy across the curriculum.
The school is looking for a KS4 English Teacher with strong subject knowledge excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire a love of reading and writing in students.
KS4 English Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Teach English Language and Literature across Year 10 and Year 11
Prepare pupils for GCSE exams with a focus on progress and attainment
Deliver creative inclusive lessons for mixedability groups
Support enrichment activities including reading groups and revision clubs
Requirements:
UK QTS (or equivalent) is essential
Experience teaching English Language and Literature at KS4
A passion for developing literacy and independent thinking in teenagers
