Job Description
The Phlebotomist is a key point of contact for patients and provides patients and guests with a positive customer service experience from start to finish during their visit.
- Full Time/Benefits Eligible
- Monday Thursday 8:30am5pm Friday 8:30am4pm
- Dublin OH
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ordering/Transmitting lab orders in computer system.
- Assists in care of patient.
- Before performing blood draws verify patient name and date of birth.
- Correct any diagnosis errors that flag in system.
- Perform blood draws. Place patient name and date of birth on tube(s) in front of patient. Has knowledge of all routine containers and minimum volumes required for collection.
- Processing of blood and urine specimens.
- Stocks inventory and maintains a clean work area. Disposes biohazard material in the correct container.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Attends required meetings and participates as requested.
- All other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- HS diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certificate
- Strong phlebotomy and customer service skills
- Previous experience in lab or clinical setting preferred
