Summary
As a QA Engineer with Python in Cinema Technology QA group you will analyze and assure the quality of hardware and software products which enable next generation of Dolby technologies that will be used in thousands of cinema theatres across the globe. You will be responsible for designing automating and executing functional and system level test cases as well as maintaining and creating QA test environments.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Python and pytest scripts tools and packages for automated tests.
- Perform automated and manual test execution and report to management on test coverage risk assessment and metrics.
- Design and create test plans and test cases for new features and software release using advanced test design techniques.
- Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the development team to help isolate debug and resolve issues/bugs.
- Setup configure troubleshoot and maintain systems test environments.
- Stay abreast of trends and best practices in software development and testing.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software scripting and test automation including designing test plans and automating corresponding test cases.
- Professional experience in using Python programming language knowledge of pytest or other testing framework.
- Experience with SQA industry tools (e.g. Jira Bugzilla) and best practices.
- Demonstrated skills in multiple test design techniques.
- Experience with test execution covering functional performance negative stress and load testing.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Knowledge of Network protocols including TCP/IP SSH NTP FTP HTML XML SNMP SOAP.
- Ability to achieve results and meet deadlines proactive attitude in solving problems.
- Very good oral and written communication.
Nice to have:
- Interest in consumer or professional audio/video technologies and products.
- Experience in automated WebUI testing.
