Job Description
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a tour of the School for individuals who are interested in applying for our Learning Mentor role. These tours will take place at 4pm on:
- Wednesday 21st May
Bring your experience working with children and young people with complex needs or apply transferable skills from related fields to make a meaningful impact in this role.
What you will do:
- Play a key role in providing tailored support to pupils with special educational needs throughout all aspects of the school day.
- Work with pupils both individually and in small groups supporting them to overcome barriers to learning delivering teaching providing positive behaviour support and delivering other focused interventions.
- Work as part of a class team under the direction of the class teacher and transdisciplinary colleagues to deliver effective and appropriate teaching learning and behaviour support in all areas of school life.
- Monitor and track progress providing regular feedback as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
We are looking for people with:
- Experience of supporting children and young people with complex needs or transferrable skills from similar fields.
- A strong level of resilience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs.
