This position is classified as a Correction Enterprises Supervisor III. This position is located at the Nash Print Plant inside Nash Correctional Institution. This facility houses medium custody male offenders.
This position will supervise and train offender workers in the operation maintenance and troubleshooting of a variety of equipment. The applicant must have the technical and mechanical knowledge to operate troubleshoot and train on a variety of production equipment used in a commercial printing environment. The applicant must be able to demonstrate knowledge of offset digital and/or letterpress presses.

Note: To qualify for this position applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
Documented production experience in a commercial printing environment including processes such as: offset digital and letterpress. Experience in Bindery and Prepress are a plus.
Documented experience in management of skilled workers and training of unskilled workers.
Proven knowledge of various industry safety programs.
Demonstrated good communication skills and strong attention to detail are musts.

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and a minimum offour years of related industry/service experience;
or
An equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
Necessary Special Requirements
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
Plant Specific Special Requirements
Agriculture NC Pesticide License and NC Wastewater License
Cannery Low Acid and Acidified Food Production certification must be obtained within one year of hire
Laundry Certified Professional Laundry Manager or Certified Laundry and Linen Manager certification
Braille Certified Braille Transcriber certificate must be obtained within 18 months of hir
