The Industrial Engineering team functions as the drivers of Operational Excellence (OpX) at Pratt & Whitney. We work to create the methods and standards for our manufacturing processes as well as develop and lead initiatives across the site to improve operations assembly test etc. As part of this team you will be working to strengthen the IE discipline onsite and drive the use of lean manufacturing methodologies to maximize the success of our business units.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead implementation and iteration of enterprisewide improvement initiatives.
  • Work crossfunctionally to embed Industrial Engineering tools and processes in a manufacturing facility.
  • Study product requirements and determine capital equipment and labor staffing to meet requirements.
  • Conduct machine capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OEE).
  • Evaluate the effects of schedule and demand changes to the business as it pertains to meeting monthly production.
  • Conduct labor capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OLE).
  • Operations analytics of key productivity indicators related to labor hours and time on part.
  • Design layouts of equipment and workspace for improving process flow.
  • Participating in and leading Kaizen events.
  • Perform time studies and maintain time standards of assigned processes.
  • Drive automation and digitization of Industrial Engineering tools/methods in support of Operations decisionmaking speed and flexibility.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 years experience in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing or Systems Engineering or Operations improvement or Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with other engineers technicians operators and management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Ability to prioritize many details into a broad view of the total organization.
  • Data mining & manipulation experience with advanced Excel (VBA SQL other methods a plus).
  • Strong analytical creative thinking and project management skills.
  • Strong time management skills ability to multitask and adaptable to changing priorities.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
