Pay Range:$17.72 $20.16 per hour. Your hourly rate will be based on number of summer terms completed with Metrolinx.

Work Location: 5 days/week ONSITE atStreetsville Bus Garage 6190 Mississauga Road Mississauga

Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Working from June to August Summer Students are required throughout our operational and administrative departments.

What will I be doing

• Support a team on multiple administrative responsibilities
• Prepare and organize correspondence perform data entry and create multiple documents
• Help with small or largescale virtual filing projects by following a prescribed set of rules to store or destroy files
• Conducting research perform analysis and input data
• Manage daily assigned work
• General office work such as data entry and filing
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need

• Must be attending school fulltime and returning to an academic institution
• Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
• High proficiency in MS Excel; Macro creation and Access experience an asset
• Strong analytical skills; is capable of manipulating large sets of data and ensures data is both accurate and precise
• Capable of self direction; asks questions as needed and is comfortable networking with other team members and stakeholders to learn and amass information
• Can work well both individually and within a team construct
• Experience working with medium to large sets of data and/or having performed error checking functions in school or earlier placements or roles is an asset.
• Note: certain positions require the wearing of Protective Footwear (i.e. Safety Boots or Shoes) to be purchased at your cost
