About the Role
As a Youth Mentor you will proactively engage with job seekers guiding them towards sustainable employment. Your role involves motivating coaching and identifying transferable skills to help individuals thrive in the job market. Due to an internal promotion as well as growth within our South East Melbourne Peninsula region we are looking for two permanent full time Youth Mentors to join us located at:
x1 Youth Mentor based at Frankston
x1 Youth Mentor based predominantly at Frankston and Narre Warren. This role will also require flexibility to support other sites within the region.
Requirements:
A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory requirements prior to commencement of employment. Successful candidates must set up a myGovID in order to access Government data aligned to role.
About You:
To excel in this role you will be committed to making a difference through connecting and supporting your clients into sustainable employment. You will be a confident communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills bringing experience in coaching mentoring and case management within employment services or a related field. Problemsolving and goalsetting abilities are essential alongside a solid understanding of the local labour market and employment skills attention to detail and proficiency in administrative and IT tasks will also be important. Adaptability and resilience are key traits as you navigate the diverse needs of job seekers and employers alike.
You must be able to balance empathy dignity and respect in your daily work with a drive to ensure we achieve positive business outcomes.
