There is an opening for a Production Supervisor at Ellwood National Forge. The opening is primarily at Irvine however there maybe periodic times for assignment at the Irvine/Warren/Corry plants. This position is an exempt full time opportunity. The Supervisor is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Maintaining a safe work environment by assuring plant organization and housekeeping while maintaining product flow.
- Provide leadership to team members training setting clear expectations and performance evaluations for skills.
- Manage production work centers and maximize product throughput using the priority rules as defined by the Goldratt DBR production system.
- Manage product flow to meet production schedules and on time delivery to the customer.
- Assure Quality and Continuous Improvement by troubleshooting quality issues and focusing on continuous improvement by identifying eliminating and preventing obstacles to efficient product flow quality and efficiency.
- Responsible for the accuracy of Time and Attendance utilizing the Time and Attendance System
- Responsible for employment related matters including hiring promoting disciplining and supporting Affirmative Action efforts.
- Administer support and enforce Safety regulations as well as policies rules and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Support all ENF policies procedures and objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of shop practices capabilities product processing and quality requirements.
- Ability to work well with a team while also working independently.
- Strong analytical skills Math skills and problemsolving ability.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Results oriented. Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Ability to work well with other departments.
- Familiarity with Syteline Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willing to work a variety of shifts to provide support for the 24 hour operations of our facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 5 or more years direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior Management/Leadership/Supervisory classes/training.
- Proficiency with reading and interpreting blueprints including GD&T tolerancing.
- Proficiency with Syteline Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic understanding of the characteristics of a variety of steels.
