Job Description
Midland University is seeking an exceptional faculty member for a fulltime psychology position beginning August 2025.
Duties include:
- Teaching a variety of lower and upperlevel psychology courses based on expertise and departmental need
- Measuring and analyzing program outcomes for continuous improvement
- Engaging students with innovative teaching practices
- Developing and implementing curriculum based on student and profession needs
- Partnering across the university for student recruiting retention and graduation
- Creating performance and program goals with continuous reflection and a willingness to accept feedback
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- PhD in Psychology or a related discipline
- Experience teaching a variety of psychology courses
- BCBA certification is desirable but not required.
- Commitment to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty staff and students
- The ability to create dynamic and relevant learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom by continuously seeking and applying new relevant information and ideas.
- A genuine interest in student development as it relates to mentoring for internships employment and graduate study
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation; and an ability to interact effectively and work productively cooperatively and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups
