Job Description

Are you ready to challenge the culture of sexual harassment in youth and education spaces

Can you energize and lead group discussions with children young people and parents

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Youth and Schools Worker to join the Dignify Team.

Dignify seeks to challenge the culture of sexual harassment that has become normalised in youth and education spaces along with the harmful impact that porn has on childrens physical mental emotional and relational health. Dignify work together with children parents carers and schools to build and share a new narrative for healthy relationships. We listen to the many voices and continue to advocate for children and young people with the Government for changes to be made to prevent children being exposed to pornography online and for improvements to be made to Relationships and Sex Education.

The post holder will:
Support Dignifys aims to champion healthy relationships amongst children and young people challenging the normalising of pornography and educating people around the harmful effects of sexual objectification.
Deliver services in line with Dignifys education strategy including Dignify workshops assemblies and lessons in schools and youth groups.
Work as part of a team and contribute to lesson plans to deliver to Primary Schools Secondary Schools parents and teachers.
Grow the reach of our schools work developing partnerships with primary and secondary schools and growing the number of people using our education services.

Requirements:
Accredited in delivering RSE lessons or willing to work towards this in the first year of starting at Dignify
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including writing emails and public speaking
Some evening and weekend work might be required to ensure we are reaching the many voices of children and parents who are keen to share their thoughts and feelings.
Full driving license and access to a car needed.

  • Housing and practical/emotional support for young asylum seekers
  • Community HUBs hosting a range of activities and meeting space hire
  • Childcare provision in Hertfordshire
  • Family support through a network of childrens and family centres covering Hertfordshire and Bedford
  • Therapeutic and nontherapeutic support for male and female victims of domestic abuse and their children
  • Independent sexual violence services across Bedfordshire Luton and Hertfordshire
  • Domestic abuse perpetrator reform programmes across Bedfordshire
  • Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 1119 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund

Our highly skilled experienced and dedicated staff team fit within our six therapeutic and specialist arms: Specialist Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Behaviour Change Programmes Adult Counselling CYP Counselling and Play Therapy Therapeutic Group Programmes and Professional Development.
