The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Developmental Disabilities Program.
The Developmental Disabilities Program Bureau Chief works under the supervision of the Administrator and Deputy Administrator of the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Division. This position is responsible for the daytoday management leadership and direction of the Developmental Disabilities Program. These activities include responsibility for supervising staff developing evaluating and monitoring community programs for people with developmental disabilities. The diverse requirements of the different sources of funding for the program must be understood and met. This position will have broad authority. Because of the highly visible nature of the program and the high expectations people have for services it is critical that this Bureau Chief maintain the confidence of and positive relationships with individuals in service and their family members providers legislators residential facility staff department administrators state advisory councils other state agencies labor unions and the general public.

This position may be eligible for partial teleworkwithin the state of conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory 2.5% an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2025.
This position is open until filled with frequent screening of applicants.
