Description

Role: Team Leader Residential

Salary:Up to 33400 per annum depending on experience PLUS 700 on call allowance per annum (34100 per annum)

Location:High Wycombe Bucks.

Contract/Hours:Permanent Full working37 hours a week.

A bit about the role:

Merryfields is a 14 bed Short BreakResidentialServiceproviding 24hourcarefor 5 18 year oldswithmoderate to severe learningdisabilities. We strive andworktowards providing top tiered personcenteredcare. We also hold variousactivitieson a daytoday basis toencouragesocial experiences and promoteequalityanddiversitythroughout theservice.

We are looking for a Team Leader to manage andleada team ofresidentialprofessionalsand other staff as directed in thedeliveryof a 24 hour rota (includingmanagementof shifts).

You will be passionate committed and resilient and yes this role can at sometimes be emotionally and physically challenging but its also fun diverse and you will feel huge sense of reward by being able to help in the best way possible If this all sounds ideal then you are exactly who we are looking for.

You will helpourYoungPeople by:

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships by providing emotional/socialsupporttoyoungpeople who can displaychallengingemotionaland socialdifficulties this includes supporting with personal care.
  • Taking thelead withcase/care planningmanagementforchildrenoryoungpeople.
  • Carrying out regular reviews ofyoung peoples paperwork and package ofsupport in conjunctionwiththechildrenyoungpeople their families andprofessionalsfrom their widersupport
  • Supervising guiding directing and training the staff team andvolunteers where required and provide induction.
  • Attendingprofessional meetings including reviewssafeguardingconferences / courtwork EHC planning meetings etc.
  • Deputising in the managers absenceliaisingwithstakeholdersand a range of otherprofessionalsand by taking theleadin specific areas of theservicesuch as compliance health and safety andservicemonitoring.

Lets talk about your skills and what we need:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce Social Care Pathway/Residential Care or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a supervisory/managementrole.
  • Experience in managing andprioritising work
  • Acommitment to going that extra mile.
  • Experience of workingwith childrenwithchallengingbehavioural/emotional and complex needs.
  • Sound knowledge andunderstanding ofsafeguarding.
  • A driving licence isdesirable as weworkclosely as a cluster of services acrossAylesbury and High Wycombe and travel may be required for this purpose and for attending training and meetings
