Job Description
roject Scope: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Unix Support Engineer to join our Production Support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong L2 support background hands-on experience with Unix SQL and Oracle DB and expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS or PCF. This role demands a solid understanding of ITSM processes and excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and ensure system stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2 production support for Unix-based systems and applications
- Monitor troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Unix SQL and Oracle DB
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability
- Manage and support cloud-based environments (AWS or PCF)
- Adhere to ITSM processes including Incident Problem and Change Management
- Document support procedures resolutions and system configurations
- Participate in on-call rotation and support weekend deployments as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong L2 Production Support experience
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Oracle DB
- Working knowledge of one cloud platform: AWS or PCF (mandatory)
- Solid understanding of ITSM frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
