The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Coordinator in our Springhill Coupled Pickled Cold Mill (CPCM) team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
The Coupled Pickled Cold Mill is a highly automated processing line that uses a blend of old and new technology. The CPCM is toward the end of the steelmaking process with the primary purpose of strip thickness reduction in preparation for the downstream steel coating processes.
In this businesscritical role you will coordinate and execute routine maintenance work and attend to plant electrical challenges while also coordinating trade personnel and contractors to deliver a costeffective qualityfocused and flexible maintenance function to the Springhill CPCM Mill/Exit Maintenance department.
What Will You Do
As the electrical maintenance coordinator you will:
- supervise the daytoday management of plant maintenance activities including planning organising execution and review of maintenance
- coordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the section
- coach mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions
- participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
- respond to the daytoday electrical availability and reliability issues
More About You
As an experienced electrical maintenance coordinator you will have sound leadership experience work effectively in crossfunctional groups and thrive in a team environment. You will also have:
- electrical trade qualifications or an advanced diploma in electrical engineering
- experience working with AC and DC motor drives
- experience with PLC Systems and drives
- demonstrated leadership experience
- experience in a heavy industrial environment
