Job Description
The Accountant in the Cashier section reports to the Cashier Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in the daytoday running of the Cashier section. The role focuses on monitoring multiple bank accounts ensuring proper cash management and maintaining precise financial records. Responsibilities include liaising with the banks executing bank transactions posting accounting entries reconciling bank statements generating reports and assisting with the book closing processes. Additionally the Accountant may contribute to various projects within the Cashier team including the refinement of various processes.
The position is permanent and is based in Athens (Vouliagmeni) Greece.
Qualifications :
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience in banking institutions shipping or multinational companies
- University degree (BSc and preferably also MSc) in Accounting & Finance
- Good knowledge of applicable Accounting standards
- Strong familiarity with ERP Accounting IT tools and Web Banking Environments; Experience in the SAP system will be considered an asset
- Excellent PC literacy advanced user of MS Office (especially MS Excel)
- Proficiency in English at a written and oral level is a prerequisite
- The ideal candidate must be a responsible individual with a teamoriented mindset
- Emphasis is placed on the candidates loyalty integrity attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Strong oral and written communication skills
