Job Description

Purpose of the Job 

Data is at the heart of everything we do at Ocorian.  In particular how we capture process store and manage client data.  In 2025 we will continue to improve data completeness and accuracy as part of the Ocorian transformation.  The IT & Data Transformation Business Analyst will play a leading role in projects to achieve this and to manage change to ensure adoption of new ways of working.  This will include projects to review how data is managed File Review projects and Operations projects to ensure data is managed effectively in the right locations.  These projects will create the foundation for Ocorians AI and Intelligent Automation strategy and projects.  

Main Responsibilities 

  • Engage with the Funds Services service line to identify the file review/AML/KYC minimum mandatory data fields for all systems used and validate this with compliance and jurisdictions and align to global standards. 
  • Understand and document the relevant AML /CFT requirements of jurisdictional and global regulators. 
  • Lead the review assessment and redesign of the current file review process standards and data requirements as it applies to the Funds Services service line to align with the global standards. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve the global file review process and use AI and automation to drive better efficiency effectiveness and control. 
  • Utilise machine learning to identify patterns and relationships to help identify and solve business problems and mitigate risks. 
  • Manage the Funds Services File Review transition and transformation for all jurisdictions including the development of a new workflow and automation tools as required. 
  • Use AI to build a knowledge bank to ensure the capture of global regulatory requirements and enable access and knowledge sharing throughout the file review organisation. 
  • Represent Operations in interactions with senior stakeholders. 
  • Develop and execute processes for data cleansing to ensure data quality and integrity before it is used. 
  • Travel will be required.

Knowledge Skills and Experience 

  • A relevant post graduate professional qualification likely to be in accounting or compliance (can be qualified through experience). 
  • One to three years post professional qualification experience in consulting or assurance services. 
  • Experience in AML/KYC and/or funds administration. 
  • An understanding of regulated environments with a particular focus on fund administration. 
  • Knowledge of AI and automation is desirable. 
  • Experience of investment management software (e.g. eFront) desirable. 
  • Able to work in a project environment. 
  • Proven experience of working with senior management. 
  • Good project management time management and organisational skills. 
  • Practical analytical and ordered approach to problem resolution. 
  • Excellent research analysis and report writing skills with good communication / interpersonal skills including excellent spoken English. 
  • Sensitivity to different cultures and ways of working. 
  • Excellent skills with Excel and knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
