The Live Data unit is responsible for the development delivery and global distribution of realtime sports data across a diverse range of sporting events. Through strong partnerships with rights holders media organizations and betting companies worldwide the unit ensures the seamless provision of accurate highquality data across 30 different sports disciplines including esports.
Currently we develop Scout Management Platform a comprehensive solution for managing scouting operations including scout communication match allocation quality management invoicing recruitment and scheduling as well as match proposals and tournament organization.
THE CHALLANGE:
As a Tech Lead in our Live Data Team youll take on a central role in driving the design architecture and implementation of scalable highperformance systems that power realtime sports data. This is a highimpact position with real tech influence where your decisions will shape the evolution of our platforms and help define best practices across teams.
Were looking for someone who brings technical excellence a strong product mindset and a deep understanding of modern software engineering. You advocate for simplicity clean code and clean architecture. Youre also a champion of continuous improvement pairing TDD and collaborative feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development scalable highperformance services on top of our realtime sports data collected 24/7 globally for more than 30 different sports
Set engineering standards for code quality testing and delivery practices through mentorship and example
Partner with architects and product stakeholders to influence technology strategy and ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable
Drive cloudfirst development by maximizing our AWS capabilities focusing on automation observability and resilience
Promote a DevOps culture with continuous delivery infrastructure as code and proactive monitoring
Mentor and coach developers across the team fostering a growth mindset and technical ownership
Stay handson with code while contributing to architectural discussions and longterm planning
ABOUT YOU:
You are a pragmatic and forwardthinking developer with a tech leadership mindset. Youre passionate about solving hard problems guiding teams and building systems that matter. You enjoy working in diverse teams and see continuous learning as part of your everyday work.
Required:
Strong software engineering background with Java
Proven experience with TDD XP practices and pair programming
Demonstrated ability to drive technical direction and mentor others
Solid understanding of clean architecture and design principles
Experience working in Agile crossfunctional teams
Experience with cloudbased appreciations and microservices (AWS)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desirable experience:
Prior experience with PHP
Experience with automation testing on various levels (BDD Performance testing Contract testing)
Knowledge of distributed event streaming solutions (Kafka RabbitMQ or similar)
Understanding how the code can be shipped (Docker Kubernetes)

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
Initial Screening: A brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition Partner to review your background experience and expectations
Technical Task: A takehome coding assignment designed to reflect our daily work completed at your convenience
Technical Interview (90 minutes): An indepth discussion on your submitted coding task including a review of your thought process live coding exercises and a system design conceptual discussion
Cultural Fit Interview (30 minutes): A conversation with Senior Management to assess your ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate with stakeholders
