Sr ML Engineer (Fullstack development + ML), AI Governance

As the Senior Full Stack Engineer of the Data & AI organization at Bengaluru you will be responsible for both frontend and backend development. You will work in a rapidpaced environment working with various Data and System Engineering teams developing impressive user interfaces for Visas AI Governance (AIG). You conform to the Visa UI standards and deliver a compelling interface that will be used by wider audiences. You will build upon an established Data Science research and development practice for Data Products focused on AI Governance and Compliance.

Successful candidates will be highly adaptable possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to effectively handle multiple work streams. You should have had experience in developing visuals charts and graphs that would help businesses make decisions and achieve their goals.

In this role you will be responsible for the UI development testing integration with web services and deployments. You would be following Visa security guidelines development and deployment standards such as code coverage avoid vulnerabilities and CI/CD.  You will also interact with other teams such as Data Science ML AI Generative AI Engineering Fundamentals for development teams at Visa. This includes engaging in technical and functional discussions with all the engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• You will leverage sound architectural principles to implement effective and efficient solutions.
• You will be a lead working with other developers on building applications from scratch to pushing them into production.
• You will play a pivotal role in developing an advanced AI governance platform. This platform will be integral to the management and auditing of Visas AI/ML systems. Your responsibility will also include addressing evolving challenges in AI governance and responsible AI.
• You will explore and evaluate emerging technologies prototype and strategize its adaptation within Visa.
• You will lead code reviews and deliver high quality code
• Support production systems and constantly improve our user experience.
• Follow established software development guidelines and Visa security standards
• Build and maintain relationships with the agile team the user community architects and support teams to understand requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Use GenAI technology such as codepilot and increase your velocity in tasks completion.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

• 4 years work experience in software technology industry developing Web components JavaScripts TypeScripts Redux Material UI and CSS.
• Proficiency in SVG charts and data visualizations using libraries such as with API and Webservices using Flask Python MySQL and microservice architecture.
• Proficiency design tools such as Figma and Adobe Suites.
• Experience in software build and release pipeline CI/CD tools NGINX containerization Unix and shell scripting.
• Experience in configuring Docker Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience working with large development teams design development coding testing and debugging of applications.
• Collaborating with team members to create and enhance the visual and interactive elements of a website with a focus on improving the users overall experience.
• Experience working in an agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of UX principles and UI design patterns.
• Experience with endtoend testing frameworks such as Playwright.
• Exposure to software development big data and machinelearning processes.
• Proficiency in handing complex data structures Object Oriented programming in JavaScript and Python.
• Experience in developing AI/ML service.
• Experience in the use of GenAI coding tools.
