Job Description
Visa DPS a processing asset at Visa is focused on providing futureready innovative processing products with superior performance. Visa DPS customers include traditional financial institutions Fintechs Neobanks and 3rd party aggregators. Building upon foundation of Visa DPS debit processing business we are expanding our capability to include additional payment types such as Credit. To affect this new solution we are looking for digital savvy product development leaders who are passionate about innovating and delivering differentiated client and enduser experiences in product and processing space. They will be responsible for aggressively expanding new Visa DPS solutions by delivering new offerings that will be integrated into existing Visa DPS foundational platforms. As part of this new team you will help influence and shape our new product offering.
The Sr. Product Manager of DPS New Product Development will have people management responsibility and is responsible to manage plan execute triage and launch new Visa DPS solutions such as credit and BNPL working closely with technology SCRUM teams crossregion product managers product owners risks compliance and operations. This position will have exposure to senior leadership within Visa demonstrating excellence in strategic and tactical thought leadership through business plans quarterly execution plans operations excellence and key performance indicators.
Essential Functions
- Execution leadership: Identify structure and manage backlog to quickly arrive at recommendations that drive product priorities and demonstrate results to leadership. Manage the entire product development lifecycle business growth initiatives including performance tracking and resource allocation
- Product backlog management: Define prioritize and execute product backlog with high level solutions estimates and dependencies identified
- Build execution: Collaborate with engineering service and product teams to develop and integrate solutions with detailed product requirements and execute the technology builds using SAFe/Agile methodologies including epics features user stories and other required artifacts
- Quality and Operations excellence: Work very closely with QA organization to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded with solid definition of acceptance criteria. Ensures builds and deliverables includes compliance security performance and business continuity requirements
- Commercialization and support: Develop service guides for clients and partners for commercialization and ongoing support
This position requires offscheduled work hours including late evenings/weekends in support of client and company multiregion structure.
Qualifications :
- 810 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) in payment or retail banking space
- 5 years as a product manager or product owner in an agile environment
- 3 years people management experience
- Proven experience in building commercializing and operating crossplatform products especially in credit payment space
- Experience in SAFE/Agile development methodologies and API technology
- Strong team player selfmotivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities obtain buyin and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately
- Ability to communicate with both business and technology leaders with a strong understanding of business data requirements and technology capabilities and an ability to make technical concepts accessible to nontechnical audiences.
- Superior problem solving skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Team oriented collaborative diplomatic and flexible with strong presentation skills including oral and written capabilities
- Work with limited direction usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment to develop rigorous factbased recommendations to senior product management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization
