You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Amherst Public School District is currently seeking a highly qualified candidate for a 6th gradeClassroomTeacher position for Fort River Elementary School. This is a fulltime school year position. Our school has a strong inclusion based model and therefore encourages or at times requires a coteaching model with either a Special Education or English Language Learning teacher partner. Fort River houses two distinct district programs to meet the needs of the districts neurodiverse student population for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Emotional Disabilities. Our school is home to the districts dual language program teaching students in English & Spanish (Caminantes) so bilingual and multicultural or bicultural applicants are preferred. We are committed to hiring to match our demographic which is currently 56% students of color. A successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to education and willingly collaborate to meet diverse student needs.
Furthermore the individual will create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that is conducive to learning develops students academic language and socialemotional skills and reflects the cultures of the student population.
Applicants must hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary Education license as a Classroom grades 16 license or ability to obtain a waiver.

Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment A short (710 minute) survey that reveals your natural strengths and work style.
Predictive Index Cognitive Assessment(if applicable) A 12minute timed assessment measuring your ability to learn and is not an IQ test and there are no good or bad scores.
