Under supervision this position will primarily serve as the District Lead and Healthy Home Coordinator for the assigned health district.
Job Responsibilities
Will perform duties in all aspects of the program to include but not limited to
- Conducting case reviews inspections and risk assessments and writing reports.
- Providing guidance and education to families and the medical community.
- Coordinating outreach to a variety of audiences.
- Conducting enforcement activities and serving as topic expert for the district in childhood lead poisoning.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university which includes the completion of 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences (e.g. chemistry biology geology physics etc.) and one (1) year of experience at the lower level PH Environmental Compliance Specialist 1 (RCP120) or equivalent position.
Note: Any agencyspecified certification/training that may be experience.Experience Required for Compliance Spec 2:
Minimum qualifications AND One year of experience in environmental health or environmental sciences or masters degree in Public Health or Environmental Health/Science
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university which included the completion of at least 27 semester hours (or40 quarter hours) of laboratory sciences (e.g. chemistry biology geology physics etc.)or Masters degree in Public Health or Environmental Health/Science.
Certified Georgia Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor or Certified Healthy Homes Specialist.
