Job Description
Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our innovative team. This position plays a critical role in designing developing and maintaining highperformance applications using Python contributing directly to our strategic business objectives. The Lead Python Developer will leverage their expertise in Python frameworks and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver robust digital solutions.
Software Requirements
Required Proficiency:
- Python: Advanced level with experience in software development
- Django Flask or Pyramid: Expertise in at least one popular Python framework
- ORM (ObjectRelational Mapping): Proficient knowledge
Preferred Proficiency:
- Frontend technologies such as JavaScript and HTML5: Familiarity
Overall Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain scalable Python applications.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define and deliver project requirements.
- Ensure highquality code by implementing best practices and conducting thorough testing.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for Python applications.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing systems and contribute to continuous enhancement efforts.
- Mentor and guide junior developers to foster a collaborative and innovative development environment.
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
- Required: Python (advanced)
- Preferred: JavaScript (basic knowledge)
Databases/Data Management:
- Required: Proficiency in ORM technologies
Frameworks and Libraries:
- Required: Django Flask or Pyramid (expertise in at least one)
Development Tools and Methodologies:
- Preferred: Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development specifically with Python.
- Demonstrated expertise in using Python frameworks such as Django Flask or Pyramid.
- Proven track record of delivering highquality software solutions in a collaborative environment.
DaytoDay Activities
- Engage in daily standups and sprint planning meetings to align development efforts with project goals.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality across the team.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to refine application requirements and specifications.
- Develop scalable and maintainable code solutions ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress challenges and innovative ideas.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Continuous professional development in Python programming and related technologies is encouraged.
