You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Amherst Public School District is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a fulltime (1.0fte) Instructional Technology Teacher position.
The Instructional Technology Teacher reports to and is evaluated by the building Principal.
Functions and duties include:
Coordinate relationship between school curriculum and technology skills.
Outstanding knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
Assists with use of technology related educational applications.
Prepares for and delivers rich lessons and interactive technology activities for students K6.
Teaches lessons promoting effective digital citizenship and web activity.
Provides support and guidance to all faculty in the area of instructional technology.
Works effectively with all members of the staff.
Draws on common core standards of the relevant curriculum frameworks to plan units of study.
Communicates high standards and expectations when evaluating student learning:
Accurately measures student achievement of and progress toward the learning objectives with a variety of formal and informal assessments and uses results to plan further instruction.
Works actively to involve parents/guardians in their children & academic activities and performance and communicates clearly with them.
Understands legal and ethical issues as they apply to responsible and acceptable use of the Internet and other resources.
Demonstrates outstanding subject matter competency.
Demonstrates knowledge of the use of resources for adaptive and assistive technology that provide access for all students.

Predictive Index Cognitive Assessment(if applicable) A 12minute timed assessment measuring your ability to learn and is not an IQ test and there are no good or bad scores.
