The Search Customer Experience (SCX) team is responsible for customerfacing features information and look & feel of search results on desktop tablet and mobile devices globally. Our team leverages sophisticated AI and machine learning data mining and big data technologies to help customers discover the right products.
As the Principal Product ManagerTech for SCX you will focus on delivering excellent shopping experiences for customers by understanding their shopping intents and incorporating relevant features on the search page. The ideal candidate should have experience in a fastpaced environment and demonstrate a strong bias for action.
You will collaborate with global teams to identify and prioritize needs influence the organization and create highquality search experiences. Youll develop best practices for insights and KPIs to prove success. You will guide a team of product managers software engineers and scientists to deliver results. You will weigh technology alternatives and be comfortable with products using machine learning and AI generative content. You will have strong judgment and understand which opportunities drive the most strategic value for the business.
Key job responsibilities
* Design and lead a multiyear product roadmap balancing short and longterm goals to scale globally
* Define creative high quality and clear roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
* Develop detailed crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create specifications and architecture for search engine features and applications
* Partner with Engineering Science Operations and partner teams to create bestinclass search solutions for customers
* Analyze customer feedback and usage metrics to identify key pain points
* Build innovative concepts and successfully champion them through senior management and other teams
* Manage bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make tradeoffs balance the business needs versus technical constraints and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences
* Roll up sleeves as necessary to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet our high standards of quality
A day in the life
Successful candidates will enjoy diving deep into data have well developed analytical skills excellent communication strategies and have experience with executive level reviews. You will thrive in a collaborative creative analytical and fastpaced environment and are comfortable interacting with technical software development teams. You should have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives. Experience managing customer facing technical products and guiding crossfunctional teams through influence versus direct management are preferred. This is a highly visible position that will interact with many teams in Search and Retail.

Bachelors degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience technical product management
Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
