Job Summary:
Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence scheduling appointments organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files time and attendance and receiving telephone calls for the department. Maintain calendars for Manager and/or department personnel; arranging meetings conferences teleconferences and travel. Provide administrative support and function in an effort to ensure costeffective measures of operations optimal lines of communication and promotes effective support of the Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One year of Unit Secretary experience or two years of clerical experience required.
Licensure/Certification: Not required.
Primary Source Verification: Not required.
Knowledge/Skills: Must have ability to use standard office equipment such as telephones fax machines computer terminals etc. Must be able to work efficiently under stressful conditions and time constraints. Requires the ability to communicate clearly. Must have excellent typing and organizational skills.
Other: Must maintain strict confidentiality of work related information. Some positions may require operation of a vehicle for Roper St. Francis Healthcare business. If required the selected candidate/employee must possess a valid current South Carolina drivers license. In addition the selected candidate/employee must be insurable under the Roper St. Francis Healthcare vehicle insurance plan which will be verified by reviewing licensure and driving record.

Work Demands/Environment:
Frequent sitting. Frequently requires long periods of working at a computer. Intermittent walking standing stooping bending stretching. May require lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Minimal risk of exposure to blood body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials communicable diseases biohazardous materials toxic substances and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Requires work under stressful conditions deadlines and/or irregular hours. Ability to read and comprehend.
