Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for evaluation of patients as well as helping patients understand and manage their health conditions. Under medical supervision they will be responsible for the delivery of cardiopulmonary services to patients in all areas of the facility. Tech is expected to perform duties and responsibilities with only minimal or indirect supervision and must frequently make independent decisions. Standards of performance as determined by the Respiratory Therapy Department must be maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist physicians with scrubbing and monitoring diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
Pulling sheaths and obtaining hemostasis
Assist RN with patient recovery
Assist RN with patient teaching
Ordering and stocking supplies
Maintain imaging and burn CDs
QC on xray equipment
Entering patient charges
Monitor the integrity of lead aprons

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
Radiology (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate radiology services in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
