Summary:

The Pharmacy Automation and Technology Supervisor provides guidance and direction on the use of medication management technology. This individual is responsible for the management and support of systemwide automated dispensing machines inventory technology infusion pumps barcodedispensing automation and acting as liaison in the pharmacy informatics initiatives throughout the healthcare system. The Pharmacy Automation & Technology Supervisor will collaborate with CCHCS Information Services to ensure hardware software and interfaces are optimal to support safe optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent required Associates degree preferred.

  • 5 years experience as a pharmacy technician or 2 years experience in automation/informatics in a healthcare/healthcare technology setting is required pediatric setting is preferred.

  • Experience in pharmacy automation and technology can include automated dispensing cabinets automated IV workflow systems inventory carousels infusion pumps or Epic EHR.

  • Knowledge of math the metric system and medical terminology is essential.

  • Knowledge of computers and demonstrable skill with applications; including word processing spreadsheets and database management.

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) and/or Texas State Board Technician registration preferred.
