Data Platform Manager Your future role

As the Data Platform Manager in Argenteuil you will oversee the strategy development and management of Data Platform Data Engineering Data Observability Data Platform Architecture disciplines according to IT data & analytics strategy. You will ensure the Data Platform meets user needs and our goals following the platform as a product approach.

You will report to the Head of Data and Analytics.

Your main responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Data & Analytics and contribute to creation of the data and analytics vision strategy representing data platform and engineering product line

• Define and maintain the data platform and engineering product lines vision and roadmap

• Support and review value case definition of demands on data engineering and platform

• Portfolio management for data platform and engineering product line including business partnership and engagement with other Data & IT teams

• Resource management within data platform and engineering product line and management of pool of data engineers

• Endtoend product / project delivery of the products related to data platform and engineering product line

Strategy:

• Define the vision and future evolutions for data platform and engineering aligned with IT data and analytics strategy by leading the global coherence of scoping and structure with all data and analytics product teams and architecture teams

• Collaborate with product line managers enterprise and solution architects data and analytics product manager and partners for translation of Business strategy into an IT strategy

• Ensure agreement of strategic programs and roadmap prioritization with Head of Digital Solutions (departments) Product Line Managers and partners

• Provide inputs to Head of Digital Solutions (departments) Product Line Managers and Architects on Market / Technology trends and best practices to give as input to strategy process

• Manage data platform as a product and ensure value based decisions are taken through product life cycle

Leadership:

• Lead the data platform team including platform engineers and data platform architect to implement of vision and roadmap

• Ensure on an ongoing basis that current and planned architecture investments and solutions are aligned with data & analytics strategy

• Provide budget forecast to match the validated strategic roadmap goals for the data platform and engineering

• Ensure transparency and collaboration cross data & analytics products digital solutions products and partners

• Lead the development of pool of data engineers

• Promote the modern data platform and engineering capabilities to Business and IT

Portfolio Management:

• Manage internally the data platform and engineering portfolio (assignment selection and classification contribution to value case and other portfolio activities) and ensure business and IT partners are involved in portfolio prioritization

• Communicate towards all IT partners necessary information about data platform and engineering capabilities and prioritizations

• Support other data product managers in building management and communication of their portfolios and deliverables

Solution Delivery Management:

• Maintain oversight of all business and IT demand for the data platform and engineering ensuring that resource commitments are planned staffed monitored and reported; ensure nomination and availability of business resources in products / projects (main users)

• Collaborate with the data & analytics teams to analyze new demands provide inputs on new solutions and estimates highlight dependencies and constraints across platform capabilities

• Mitigate any risk linked to delivery of data products and resources dependent on the data platform and engineering

• Ensure resources follow best practices methodologies frameworks and policies such as best practices for data engineering DataOps

• Manage direct reports and their respective activities ensure HR global processes are followed.

You have:

• Masters degree in computer engineering or business school or equivalent

• 10 years working in Information technology arena

• 5 years working in data and analytics roles

• 5 years of experience managing team dynamics building team relationships mentoring team members and delivering feedback

• Experience with Data Platform management Data Engineering Data Observability and Data architecture

• Experience in product management and Agile practices

• Business Analysis Skills in Data Management and Platform engineering and comprehension of other digital solutions as users of the services of data platform

• Exhibited skills in leading efforts involving the coordination of resources and goals across multiple related projects and products

• Exposure and understanding of existing and latest technologies and processing environments

• Experience with innovation approaches and methodologies (Agile Product Management Design Thinking Design Sprints and UX design)

• Curious and interested about Data Digital and Information Technologies

• Fluent in English
