Amazon Robotics develops stateoftheart robotics solutions to power Amazons worldclass Fulfillment Operations which handle more single items than any other company. Our team is at the forefront of building automated manipulation products to handle and process packages and single items.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Data Scientist in the team you will play a crucial role in driving datapowered choice making. Your main focus will be:
* Developing predictive models and simulations to evaluate complex largescale datasets and uncover insights to improve customer experience operational efficiency capital investment effectiveness and automation utilization.
* Creating compelling data visualizations that communicate endtoend system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
* Establishing robust data evaluation frameworks and KPIs to quantify the impact of your solutions and evaluate tradeoffs between priorities of equal importance.
* Collaborating crossfunctionally with engineering operations and business stakeholders to understand their needs translate them into datafocused projects and deliver impactful results.

About the team
Were looking for an experienced selfmotivated senior Data Scientist with a strong background in machine learning data mining and statistical examination. You should have excellent problemsolving skills the ability to work solo and a passion for leveraging data to drive meaningful business outcomes.
5 years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction analysis statistical modeling and communication experience
5 years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL) scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R SAS Matlab etc.) experience
Masters degree in a quantitative field such as statistics mathematics data science business analytics economics finance engineering or computer science or Bachelors degree and 8 years of professional or military experience
Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression
Experience managing data pipelines
Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
2 years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight Tableau R Shiny etc. experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
