Duties and Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the Office of the Registrar and supports front desk operations and administrative functions.
* Resolve problems regarding student registration records and graduation and respond to escalated matters while being cognizant of established policies and procedures.
* Manage Health Clearance process for UH Manoa students. Including sending reminders to students with outstanding clearances resolving issues with registration related to health clearances and troubleshooting issues in conjunction with MedProctor (vendor for UH system health clearances). Process disenrollment for students in facetoface courses who are not in compliance with State of Hawaii regulations.
* Hire supervise and coordinate the work of student assistants to assist with registration graduation veterans and student records via telephone inperson and email inquiries.
* Coordinate student assistants schedules to ensure adequate front desk and cross function coverage.
* Coordinate with the associate registrar to recommend processes and guidelines for front desk operations.
* Provide and coordinate ongoing training for current and new office staff and student assistants on front desk and administrative operations.
* Assist with the collection classification management security integrity and dissemination of student records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Assist in other areas included but not limited to: process enrollment/degree verifications and transcript requests during peak periods.
* Assist with communications as part of the Office of the Registrar communication plan and outreach efforts with the associate registrar.
* Manage and procure office inventory and supplies.
* Provide fiscal and procurement support including develop requisitions; process travel requests and completions; and reconcile Pcard transactions in accordance with federal state and UH policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
1.Possession of a baccalaureate degree in arts and humanities science social science business administration education counseling or related field and 0 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for N/A; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education knowledge skills and abilities as indicated.
2.Functional knowledge of principles practices and techniques in the registrars office and/or student services demonstrated by knowledge understanding and ability to apply concepts terminology.
3.Functional knowledge and understanding of principles theories federal and state laws rules regulations and systems associated with the registrars office and/or student services.
4.Demonstrated ability to recognize problems identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the registrars office and/or student services.
5.Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation write reports and procedures and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
6.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations groups team members and individuals.
7.Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
8.Excellent attention to details and followup.
9.Excellent customer service including experience working with students faculty and staff.
10.Demonstrate innovation and creativity.
11.Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment and technology.
Desirable Qualifications
1.Working knowledge of a student information system such as Ellucian Banner.
2.Previous experience in higher education environment preferability in an enrollment management registrars admissions or financial aid office.
3.Working knowledge of academic policies and procedures and federal privacy regulations such as FERPA.
