The UVA Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs is seeking a graduate intern to provide excellent administrative support to the Outreach and Engagement Programs. The intern will work closely with the Program Coordinator to plan events and provide data support for the offices mission. The mission is to cultivate a rich and innovative learning community where all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows can thrive at the University of Virginia. Provide administrative and data support to special projects for OGPA Outreach and Engagement.
Coordinate undergraduate research program activities and workshops during the summer
Plan public events
Foster relationships with faculty staff and students
Perform website maintenance
Conduct internetbased research
Data entry for recordkeeping purposes
Assess program evaluations
May be required to perform other duties as assigned
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with a variety of constituencies individually and in groups
Skill in coordinating multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects
Current UVA graduate student
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite especially Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
Position Compensation: $20.00/hour.
Weekly Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week. The Graduate Internship is available for both spring and summer 2025 terms.
Location: Remote/on Grounds.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
