Job Description
The Department of Biology at Lipscomb University is seeking applicants for fulltime faculty position beginning August 1 2025. The position responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Human Anatomy & Physiology for our prenursing students. This course is a twosemester sequence involving lecture and laboratory sections for nursing majors. Normal fulltime teaching load is 30 hours per 10month academic year.
Qualified candidates should have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. MD DO or DPT) and teaching experience in human anatomy and physiology including cadaver dissection. Additional requirements include a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students in the context of a Christian environment. Strong mentoring skills as well as interpersonal skills in communication and the ability to work in a teambased education approach are required. Additional responsibilities include academic advising student mentoring and departmental college and university service.
Strong preference will be given to candidates with a Church of Christ affiliation and be an active faithful member of a congregation. Candidates must be willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university.
