About Ontario Renal Network (ORN): The Ontario Renal Network (ORN) a part of Ontario Health is dedicated to advising the Ontario government on the renal system and managing the delivery of clinical services to patients with chronic kidney disease in Ontario. Our Renal Clinical Programs team leads the planning and implementation of provincial quality improvement initiatives.
Position Overview: The Specialist Renal Clinical Programs will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of quality improvement initiatives across multiple projects within Renal Clinical Programs. This position involves collaborating with clinical experts conducting research developing frameworks and actively participating in the creation of recommendation reports.
Here is what you will be doing:
Program/Operational Support:
Support the planning implementation and maintenance of quality improvement initiatives.
Conduct literature reviews surveys and environmental scans; develop frameworks; and participate in the development of recommendation reports.
Define scope and deliverables of initiatives in coordination with the Manager and stakeholders.
Identify and escalate program risks; propose recommendations to address issues.
Develop various products to execute program plans including tools templates briefing notes reports executive summaries status updates and presentations.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data; prepare reports and presentations.
Manage multiple projects concurrently within timelines.
Coordinate project documentation communications schedules and timelines.
Provide support and coordinate meetings for internal and external groups.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including healthcare providers administrators patient and family advisors project teams and committees.
Plan develop and support knowledge translation and exchange activities for various clinical initiatives/programs.
Support integration within OH departments and other initiatives within the ORN as needed.
Perform crossfunctional tasks and other duties within Renal Clinical Programs as required.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience:
Required undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (clinical epidemiology health sciences health services research health or business administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum three to five years of related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Experience with preparing meeting minutes briefing notes presentations and reports.
Expertise and experience in data analysis information gathering and synthesis.
Experience with applying project management methodologies.
Experience working with clinical experts patient and family advisors and healthcare administrators.
Strong understanding of the Ontario healthcare landscape; understanding of kidney disease management in Ontario is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills.
Superior attention to detail organization and time management skills.
Strong critical and analytical thinking and problemsolving skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook.
Ability to define problems find solutions and provide wellarticulated recommendations.
Highly productive and motivated capable of quality output and able to multitask and prioritize assignments.
Creative and forwardthinking with a desire to learn and take on new opportunities.
Selfdirected with enthusiasm initiative and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment and exercise highcaliber judgment.
Comfortable working in a dynamic fastpaced environment with a degree of uncertainty or ambiguity.
