Job Description
Job Title:6th Grade Teacher
Reports To: Gene Ray Principal
CPS Certified/Noncertified Salary Schedules
Summary:
The 6th Grade Teacher is responsible for planning implementing and assessing instruction for 6th grade students in accordance with the Oklahoma State Standards. The teacher will create a positive and supportive learning environment and will work with students to develop their academic social and emotional skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan implement and assess instruction for 6th grade students in accordance with the Oklahoma State Standards
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Work with students to develop their academic social and emotional skills
- Collaborate with other teachers staff and parents to support student learning
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings professional development and other schoolrelated activities
- Maintain accurate and uptodate student records
- Administer assessments and report student progress
- Prepare and grade assignments and tests
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education or a related field
- Oklahoma Teaching License
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing a highquality education for all students
