What You Will Do
As the Sector Controller for Trimble Geospatial you will be a pivotal strategic finance leader directly partnering with the Franchise Controller and the Geospatial leadership team. This influential role demands a blend of acute financial and business acumen empowering you to drive economic financial and strategic objectives. You will be the guardian of financial integrity providing critical counsel on major business decisions and safeguarding the sectors assets and profitability through robust controls and processes.
Your Impact & Key Responsibilities:
In this influential role your key responsibilities will include:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Drive the quality and predictability of forecasts leading monthly and quarterly business reviews and applying insightful qualitative judgment to quantitative analysis.
Compliance & Controls: Ensure the integrity of financial statements through rigorous controls and strict compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders optimizing financial models assessing macroeconomic impacts and guiding critical strategic decisions that shape the sectors future.
Process Improvement: Enhance process efficiency and effectiveness in areas such as revenue recognition pricing and organizational scalability contributing to greater profitability and agility.
Leadership & Development: Inspire and lead direct and indirect teams fostering talent development in line with Trimbles values: Inspire Engage Achieve.
Global Operations Management: Oversee international business transactions intercompany accounting and tax compliance ensuring seamless global operations and adherence to international regulations.
Financial Integrity & Reporting: Oversee monthly close processes drive accurate journal entries and ensure full compliance with SEC and SOX requirements.
Forecasting & Budgeting: Develop and update precise quarterly forecasts annual budgets and business/sales targets in close collaboration with management teams.
Subscription Revenue Management: Drive advanced analytics for subscription revenue focusing on critical ARR metrics such as renewals net retention upsell/crosssell opportunities and robust revenue forecasting.
Crossfunctional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Operations and Digital Transformation departments to support strategic initiatives and embed best practices in financial reporting.
What Skills You Should Bring
We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished finance professional who embodies strategic thinking and strong leadership. To thrive in this role you will bring:
Extensive experience in finance functions within a global advanced technology solutions business.
Deep understanding of software and services revenue recognition.
Proven track record in business planning and forecasting for complex global operations.
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in managing and developing highperforming teams.
Expertise in business systems and ERP solutions particularly Oracle RevPro and Domo.
A collaborative mindset with the flexibility to travel internationally as needed.
High attention to detail complemented by strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; an MBA is strongly preferred.
CPA certification is highly beneficial.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in public company FP&A and accounting functions.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
