Ever dreamt of trading your cubicle for a reservoir view and becoming a guardian of the great outdoors The City of Aurora Open Space and Forestry Division is seeking a Reservoir Parkskeeper (thats our cool name for a Parks Steward!) to join our squad. Youll be on the front lines providing outstanding stewardship of public lands wielding everything from chainsaws to hand tools and keeping our parks shipshape in all sorts of weather. If youve got a current drivers license and are ready to learn some cool skills like pesticide application and chipper operation while maybe moving up to 100 pounds we want you! This position is classified as a VHNE (Variable Hour NonBenefit Employee) where the selected candidate will work less than 29 hours per week. It does not provide medical benefits but it does earn sick leave in accordance with the Healthy Families and Workplace Act.
The City of Aurora will conduct ongoing screenings of applications; as soon as we determine that we have a qualified pool of applicants this position may close quickly and without notice.
The hiring rate for this position is $18.00/hour.
