About the Opportunity:
Are you a strategic finance leader who sees the story behind the numbers CLBC is seeking a Director External Financial Insight and Compliance to lead our audit and analytics functions. In this role you will oversee two managementlevel staff and guide crossorganizational financial oversight that informs decisionmaking across the province. Youll support regional teams and executive leadership by transforming complex data into clear actionable insights. This work enhances service delivery informs funding negotiations and strengthens governance. With a customerservice mindset you will empower teams to use data to make thoughtful strategic decisions. This is a highimpact leadership role for someone who values collaboration continuous improvement and advancing equity in public service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Financial Audit & Compliance and Financial Analytics teams aligning their work with CLBCs strategic goals.
- Oversee the provincewide service provider audit program and ensure consistent effective contract and financial oversight.
- Support regional leaders and negotiations with financial insight service data and contract analysis.
- Develop dashboards and insights on trends such as provider turnover funding and pay.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to the Finance & Audit Committee and senior leadership.
- Use tools like Power BI SQL or Tableau to translate complex data into stories that drive change.
- Foster a culture of learning innovation and service excellence across the team and organization.
What you will bring:
- A CPA designation and 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in audit compliance or financial analytics including 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge across audit internal controls risk and analytics in the public or broader social services sector.
- Experience using tools such as Power BI Tableau SQL or Python to deliver insights and performance monitoring.
- A proven track record of leading teams mentoring managers and building crossfunctional partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to make data meaningful and actionable for a range of audiences.

Travel: This role involves occasional travel to Vancouver Victoria or other regional offices as needed
