2025 SUMMER ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Jessup Manufacturing Company is offering a handson challenging and diverse summer internship program to 2nd 4th year students who are seeking a bachelors degree in an Engineering concentration (Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred). This individual would play an integral role in continuous improvement efforts geared towards profitability and quality.
Location: Lake Bluff Illinois and McHenry Illinois

Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelors or masters Degree with an Engineering concentration (Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred)
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft programs
- 2D or 3D CAD software proficiency is a plus (AutoCAD Solidworks etc.)
- Excellent listening & communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to work in a team & build effective relationships with all team members crossfunctionally.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through employment experiences scholastic teams or volunteer programs.
- Must reside in the local area (no housing allowance or relocation provided).
- Must be willing and able to travel between plant locations when required.
- Must be able to pass a postoffer background check and drug test.
- Must be eligible to obtain employment in the United States
Compensation: $740 per week; including a $500 bonus after successful completion of the elevenweek Internship program.
This is a forty (40) hour a week Internship that is expected to run the course of twelve consecutive weeks starting on or about May 27 2025. The work schedule may vary from week to week depending on needs of the position and the flexibility of the candidate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct Production Analysis Studies
- Work closely with Manufacturing to implement process improvements.
- Take Ownership of special projects as assigned by Operations and Engineering Management
- Work directly with machinery process improvement and help determine best practices.
- In conjunction with Lab and Quality associates may complete analytical quality performance or other testing that is deemed necessary by Quality and R&D Manager
- Perform projects related to LEAN principles process flow Root Cause Analysis and efficiency improvement.
- Solicit and provide ideas for the elimination of waste continuous improvement and defect prevention.
- Create or modify work instructions where needed.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
