About the role
The Finance Officer is responsible for a range of administrative functions including the processing of student fee refunds and agent commission payments ensuring compliance with Government legislation University policy accounting timelines and contractual obligations. The position provides specialist fee advice and assistance to a broad range of internal and external clients including students and staff across Higher Education and TAFE.
You will:
respond to Financial Services queries and provide accurate and tailored advice information and assistance toclients in accordance with policies and tax compliance requirements;
provide accurate and timely advice to Student Finance clients by triaging and responding to enquires and providing specialist fee advice;
ensure the accurate allocation monitoring and reporting of tuition fee scholarships and waivers; and
ensure assessment and processing of agent commission invoices and payments in an efficient and effective manner.
About you
Reporting to the Senior Officer Student Finance you will posses demonstrated knowledge of financial functions and processes with advanced numeracy skills and the ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail. You will have a commitment to deliver quality customer service and quality assurance while maintaining strict confidentiality and the ability to relate to a wide range of stakeholders.
You will possess demonstrated:
analytical and problemsolving skills including the ability to research interpret and evaluate information and data;
interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to establish collaborative and effective working relationships and liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
organisational skills including the ability to prioritise multiple tasks; and
software package skills in particular MS Office and Excel as well as the demonstrated ability to use a range of systems and new software packages.
