They are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Communities) to join their team. This engineer will play a key role in designing building and maintaining userfacing features and backend services for the community features of the platform. This is a fulltime opportunity available exclusively for candidates located in Brazil with payment via monthly invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain userfacing features using React and TypeScript.
- Build and support backend services using Ruby with occasional usage of GraphQL.
- Collaborate closely with the product team to influence design and technical decisions.
- Participate in code reviews ensuring code quality and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and support junior and midlevel engineers promoting a collaborative team culture.
- Integrate community features with the broader product ecosystem.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across the stack.
- Continuously improve development processes and methodologies across the team.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Attainment:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
Experience Level:
- 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience in Fullstack Engineering roles.
Technical Capabilities:
- Advanced knowledge of React and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in Ruby and experience with GraphQL (nice to have).
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Vue or Angular (nice to have).
- Strong foundation in Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Track record of delivering highquality scalable software in production environments.
Communication Skills:
- Fluent in English (C2 level required).
- Excellent collaboration and team communication skills.
Mindset:
- Selfmotivated and proactive.
- Passion for building impactful products and contributing to a positive engineering culture.
