Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Napa CA (100% Onsite from day 1)
Job Type: Long Term Contract
Shift: Rotational Weekly (including USA Night Shifts)
Preference: Local candidates only
Summary: We are seeking a Data Center Technician to join our onsite team in Napa CA. This role is critical to the daily operations of our data center facility and requires flexibility to work rotational shifts including night shifts. The ideal candidate will have handson experience in hardware installation system monitoring troubleshooting and maintenance within a missioncritical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and troubleshoot servers networking equipment and storage devices.
- Perform routine system health checks backups and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Monitor environmental controls such as power cooling and physical security.
- Respond to service tickets and incident alerts promptly to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with network engineers system admins and support teams for escalations and planned upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory changes and incidents.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with established procedures and data center standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in Computer Science IT or a related field.
- 4 years of handson experience in a data center or server environment.
- Basic knowledge of networking server hardware and cabling.
- Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work flexible shifts.
- Certifications like CompTIA Server CCNA or similar are a plus.
