Job Summary:
The Warehouse Technician I monitors stock levels and maintains through purchasing proper Days of Supply DOS inventory levels to support laboratory requirements. Receives inbound materials and is responsible for proper stock placement and organization. Picks packs and ships outbound orders as needed. Operates in compliance with company policies as well as applicable Federal and State regulations.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
Purchasing materials for demand requirements
Receive all deliveries
Sort all specimen packages and deliver to the correct laboratory locations
Identify and quarantine defective products upon delivery
Pack and ship outbound orders
Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures Federal and State regulations and laws
Qualifications:
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Competencies/Skills
Excellent communication skills
Good organization skills
Detail oriented
Excellent Customer Service skills
Ability to adapt to changing environment
Ability to utilize inventory software
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
Experience
Previous experience with warehousing or laboratorybased inventory
Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics
Prior experience in a medical inventory environment preferred
Certifications/Licenses
Valid driver s license
Mental/Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Vision hearing speech movements requiring the use of wrists hands and/ or fingers. Must have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Physical effort requires kneeling couching bending and balance. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Learning thinking concentration and the ability to work under pressure particularly during busy times. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with coworkers and customers and exercise selfcontrol and diplomacy in customer and employee relations situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions
The position works in a temperaturecontrolled environment in medical laboratory warehouse.
