About the Role:
Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Business Analyst with a solid background in software development to join their team in Brussels. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT ensuring that software solutions meet business needs in a complex and highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather analyse and document business and technical requirements.
Translate business needs into clear functional and nonfunctional specifications for development teams.
Work closely with developers QA engineers and project managers to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
Bridge the gap between business and IT using a strong understanding of financial products and software development practices.
Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas of improvement or automation.
Participate in solution design testing user acceptance and postimplementation support.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services sector (e.g. banking insurance investment).
Software development background (e.g. Java .NET Python or other modern stacks).
Strong understanding of systems integration data flows and API usage.
Solid knowledge of SDLC (Agile Scrum or Waterfall environments).
Experience with UML BPMN or other modeling tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of tools like JIRA Confluence or Enterprise Architect.
Bilingual in English and either Dutch or French.
